The purpose of the IT Hub is to enable the Business by focusing on business outcomes, delivering fit for business technology solutions which enable business agility and profitable growth.Job Description –The Safety and Environment Business Systems team sits in the Group Safety and Environment & Social Performance(SE&SP) Reporting and Assurance department. The team acts as the business owner for the global Health, Safety, Security and the Environment (HSSE) IT systems including Fountain Incident Management (FIM), Insight Browser (IB) and Shell Environment Reporting Systems (SERS).This role supports all of the Group Businesses in the use of FIM and the delivery of Incident Reporting, working closely with the Reporting Teams and FIM Gatekeepers.FIM is the global application for Incident Management in Shell. Incidents can be entered by anyone of our approximately 100K staff and is also made available to contractors. Reporting is run through centralised reporting teams.The Business Systems team works with the businesses, to identify opportunities to improve Learning from Incidents (LfI) through ensuring high data quality on entry (first time right), efficient and effective reporting systems and processes. The vision is for one version of the data at the required accuracy and quality; simplified, standardised and automated processes; with standard systems supporting first time right data entry and efficient reporting; and improved analytics and insight capabilities.Report ToFIM CustodianPurposeAs an analyst and super user to the FIM system, you will provide expertise and support to all Shell businesses around the world on the use of FIM. The position provides guidance to others across the group who are leveraging the system for reporting and LfI purposes. This includes focus on encouraging employees in all within the company to leverage existing capabilities; streamline and improve processes and improve quality.Identify, design and test opportunities to improve the functioning of FIM for all business operations via collaboration with the business representatives and the IT department. Support changes to FIM to keep the system aligned with ongoing business changes like re-organizations and changing HSSE reporting requirements.Work to maintain FIM, ensuring supporting information is kept up to date and that the system is aligned with the latest business requirements and structure. Liaise between the Businesses and the IT organization supporting FIM, to support the resolution of operational problems.Support in the management and communication of upcoming system changes to the organization.Establishing strong relationships is essential, across a broad set of global stakeholders. This must be supported by strong communication skills.Requirements Requirements –Operate as an Interface to IT

  • Translate HSSE terminology into IT requirements and vice versa
  • Support the IT organization in understanding the business impact of bugs and help identifying temporary workarounds

Information Management

  • Support PTS and the IT Information Management team in the delivery of new SharePoint capabilities, as required.
  • Work with the IT Information Management team to resolve any operational issues with existing sites.
  • Manage Functional Site Owner, Primary Site Owner and Seconday Site Owners roles for PTS.
  • Work with FSO to ensure that their sites are being managed.
  • Manage a Record Focal Point network, ensuring ongoing management of Group Records Management requirements across PTS.
  • Resolve compliance findings

Communication with the global gatekeeper network (5 global gatekeepers, ~100 business gatekeepers and a thousand first-line gatekeepers) will be a key part of the role.Specific complexity may come from the different business requirements applicable in the various operations.You will be working with stakeholders from many cultures and countries and will need to be effective working virtually.Work pattern is standard 40/5. Flexibility will be required in order to maintain relationships, with some evening meetings required. Leave to be carefully planned to ensure team availability during quarterly reportingExperience And Qualifications

  • 5 – 10 years of work experience in a relevant field (Oil&Gas/Petrochemical/Chemical/Major Hazard Industry), preferably Safety as a major responsibility.
  • Bachelor degree in Engineering (Master’s in HSE is preferred).
  • Business analysis techniques and working knowledge of statistics
  • Understanding of business intelligence solutions (e.g. Business Objects, Spotfire, PowerBI)
  • Data management and data analysis experience
  • Experience of systems testing and implementing small process changes
  • Experience of working in a virtual team
  • Demonstrate external focus
  • Knowledge of HSSE incident management process, and incident classification, investigation and reporting
