In this position you’ll get to work in a small cross functional agile team developing innovative Financial Technologies that will ultimately yield significant benefits for Invesco. The candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills; being able to effectively communicate with our Fixed Income Portfolio Managers, Analysts and Traders on a variety of complex investment topics and then translate these accurately into user stories and specifications for development. The environment is demanding, and you will be challenged. We expect you to understand the nuances of financial services and our investment capabilities. You will have experience with agile methodologies and collaborating with software and infrastructure engineers. You will be expected to contribute immediately.Key Responsibilities / Duties

  • Make yourself the critical point person between the Fixed Income Investment Team and Fixed Income Technology Team in Atlanta; you will need to build key relationships at all levels and develop a deep understanding about the business;
  • working towards transforming our customer experience and creating customers who turn into ambassadors for technology.
  • Use your personal relationships and excellent business knowledge to elicit business requirements and translate these into clear and accurate User Stories and specifications.
  • Work in a distributed, cross functional agile team to deliver high quality capabilities to our clients. Get involved where needed.
  • Working with change management and project governance processes
  • Chairing meetings and workshops.

  • Experience in software development lifecycle
  • A strong understanding of Equity, Fixed Income and basic Derivative instruments and a good understanding of the fund management industry.
  • Familiar with Agile software development (Scrum and Scrum master experience is a plus)
  • Experience in Business Analysis techniques – stakeholder analysis and management, modeling business processes, eliciting requirements, implementing change, testing, etc.
  • Working knowledge of SQL queries, MS Office and PowerBI desirable

Working Conditions

  • Normal office environment with little exposure to noise, dust, and temperatures
  • The ability to lift, carry or otherwise move objects of up to 10 pounds is also necessary
  • Normally works a regular schedule of hours, however hours may vary depending upon the project or assignment
  • Hours may include evenings and/or weekends and may include 24 hours a day on call support by pager and/or cell phone
  • Able and willing to travel both domestically and internationally. Frequency and duration to be determined by manager. Estimate: 0-5%
